With default settings, whenever there is a new email in your inbox, the Mail app not only sends out desktop notification but also lists the new email in the Action Center. I sincerely hope this helps some of you as I cannot even remember to how many meetings I was late because of this stupid bug. In Windows 10, the new Action Center is the place where you can find notifications from all apps, including the Mail app. The Delete, Flag and other options are gone, possibly because such things aren’t supported in Windows 8 notifications, the same goes for Windows 10. Since Windows 8, the mail alert becomes a standard Windows 8 notification. I clicked on yes and then when I went back to the Notifications & Actions screen the checkable options above the apps were there!Īfter that I just closed Chrome completely, restarted the machine and everything started working again. I tested this on chrome for Desktop & chrome for Android (after updating to. I receive push-notifications only if the browser is open (doesnt matter if the particular webpage is open or not). It didn't have the section with the checkable options and was only showing the individual apps configurations. It is written here that the push notifications will work even if the browser is closed, but I tested it and it is not the case. If you want to disable new native notifications and want to bring back/restore classic notifications so that all Chrome notifications pop-up in Google Chrome’s own window.

Looking at the post from 9/2/20 I found weird that my notifications screen looked different. If new modern notifications are not activated in your computer and you want to enable native notifications so that all Chrome notifications pop-up in Windows 10 Action Center, select Enabled from the drop-down box. Windows 10 build 15048 for desktop and 15047 for Mobile now available in the Fast ring. Then I tried sending a Mail from Gmail to Outlook,from the mail app itself and waited for Notification. I added the second mail account in the Mail App.

Ok, so I finally managed to make this work for Windows 10 20H2. No Notification from mail app on Windows 10.
